I am highly disappointed with the pricing transparency and value at Steve's Automotive Specialists. We were charged $1,400 for a thermostat housing replacement, which is roughly double the standard market rate for this type of repair on a standard vehicle. To make matters worse, they followed up this massive bill by giving us an incredibly high-end, inflated quote for shocks. While the staff is professional and the digital updates are convenient, their pricing model is entirely disproportionate to the work being performed. If you are looking for fair, competitive, independent mechanic rates, I strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere for a second opinion before authorizing any major repairs here.

I have been going to Steveβs Automotive for years and they have always taken care of my car with care. Everyone that works here is so nice and honest. They take the time to figure out what is wrong with my car. They were able to get me in same day. They are able to work with you on pricing because they care about their customers. Itβs hard to find an auto shop thatβs this trustworthy, transparent, and genuinely cares about its customers. Could not recommend this place enough!

I was a previous customer of Steveβs Automotive and had spent thousands of dollars on repairs over the last year. Unfortunately, I left feeling that many of those repairs were overpriced, and some of the ongoing issues seemed to be related to work that had already been done by the shop. Most recently, I brought my car in because the third brake light was not working. After the shop looked at it, I was told that none of the brake lights were working and that they would need to keep my vehicle for six days to βinvestigateβ the problem. I was then given an estimate of nearly $500 for the repair. Instead of proceeding with the repair, my boyfriend purchased the needed part (which came with a lifetime warranty) and fixed the issue himself using a simple dollar-store screwdriver kit. The total cost was under $30, and all of the brake lights are now functioning properly. What was especially frustrating was that when I declined the repair, the employee assisting me almost did not return my keys right away and gave me a lecture about the vehicle being unsafe. I understand the importance of safety, but the interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. After this experien

I have never been more outraged! I once trusted this shop, but the culture has changed! I took my car in with the problem already identified. The high pressure line of my power steering needed to be replaced. I just needed a quote. They called me back in the afternoon saying that all of the components of my power steering had to be replaced! I asked how they came to that conclusion and they said because they could see fluid on them. That's because the high pressure line sits above them and is leaking on them! I just had the power steering pump replaced. In other words, they didn't really assess it the right way, but wanted to see if I was vulnerable enough just to replace parts that didn't need replacing. After hearing that, they said they may have misdiagnosed and would like me to pay to run more tests. The tests they should have done from the beginning, but weren't necessary. You can visibly see the leak just by looking at it. They said they could understand how the fluid dripping from the line above could drip on the other components, but just figured it would be the surest way to get the leak fixed. So they would rather have me pay $1000s of extra dollars because it's better fo

UPDATE: this shop also told me my control arms were cracking. After leaving I took my car to a different shop who took a look and assured me everything was just fine. Sure my car could use preventative maintenance before next winter but itβs nothing near what this place said. This place is a scam This was my second oil change here, and it turned into a really concerning experience. When I came back 5 months later, the mechanic told me my oil filter was missing a necessary piece and implied I must have gone somewhere else. I didnβt.. this shop did my last oil change. So not only was my car not put back together correctly, but I was also told a cheap filter had been used. Thatβs unacceptable for something as basic as an oil change. Mistakes happen, but trying to deflect responsibility instead of owning it is a red flag. I trusted them with my car and paid for a service that clearly wasnβt done properly. As a woman who isnβt in the automotive industry, situations like this are especially uncomfortable. Youβre relying on honesty and expertise, and instead I felt misled. They eventually made it right, but the lack of accountability and attention to detail is enough for me not to come
